Evaluation of VREP High School Engineering Intervention

According to myCollegeOptions (2013), only 25% students are currently interested in STEM education and jobs, which will leave millions of jobs unfilled in manufacturing, computing, and life sciences. The Virtual Reality Educational Pathfinder (VREP) program demonstrates an increase in those numbers anecdotally, but hard evidence is needed to confirm those data over time. This project will conduct data collection with the goal of providing research-based evidence on the impact of VREP. This project will determine the long term value of VREP and serve as a model for expanding STEM education and creating future employees.
