The ARCC offers potential to decrease the costs associated with the time and transportation of expertise while simultaneously increasing the accuracy and efficiency of diagnosing problems. By giving the remote expert a video stream of the customer’s view, both parties can have access to the customer’s environment. Leveraging augmented reality gives the expert an ability to interact with the customer through animation. In addition, by using commercially available mobile devices, support and service can happen in virtually any setting at a low entry cost.
