Over the past few decades, Modeling and Simulation (M&S) has been playing an increasingly important role in assessing and improving the performance of new product designs. The credibility of computer simulation models can be assessed and improved by means of model validation. The objective of this project is to investigate new methods to validate computer models of engineering systems with multiple dynamic responses. The methods will assist modeling engineers and scientists not only in assessing the validity of a computer model while accounting for various sources of uncertainty, but also in improving the validity of the model through model calibration and refinement.
